Project Description

We are looking for you as a:

Backstage/ React Developer (f/m/d)

To do the following:

  • You actively contribute to the open source project Backstage with the goal of becoming a maintainer

  • You program customer-specific extensions for the SDA SE Backstage instance and operate our own Backstage instance

  • You help to introduce Backstage to our customers and inspire them for the platform

  • You drive the adaptation and usage of Backstage within our company and support other developers in using Backstage

  • You will be the voice of SDA SE in the Backstage developer community and participate in community events

  • As part of the team, you actively shape the agile work culture

What you bring with you:

  • You have a degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science) or comparable training

  • You have already gained experience with React, TypeScript and JavaScript and are confident in using Node.js for the backend

  • Scrum and Kanban are part of your daily business

  • You already have experience in dealing with Backstage, e.g. with Gitops, Argo CD, AWS, GitHub Actions

  • Testing is an important part for you and you have ideally used Jest or Cypress in the past

  • You are willing to actively participate in the open source community

  • You enjoy agile working and are characterized by a high level of personal responsibility
